How to get to the festival
Girona is a very well-connected capital, with important infrastructures that connect the city to the world.
You can easily reach the fairgrounds by any means of transport: car, bicycle, scooter or even on foot.
We recommend traveling in the most environmentally friendly way possible so that together we can keep the festival’s CO₂ footprint as low as possible.
The festival is adapted to welcome people with reduced mobility, with suitable access and special services.
On foot
By bicycle
You can easily cycle along the safe bike lanes to the Fontajau Municipal Pavilion and park your bike in the designated spaces.
You can also use the public Girocleta service, which is available throughout the city.
By car / motorcycle
City bus
Girona Municipal Transport (TMG):
Line L3 → direction Fontajau / Montjuïc
Line L4 → direction Fontajau / Taialà
Frequency every 15-20 minutes.
A 5-minute walk to the festival.
By Motorhome / Camper
Sea Otter Europe is one of the most camper-friendly festivals in Catalonia. The motorhome service area in Girona is located on the outskirts of the city in a large esplanade with green spaces and tables.
It is a free public camper area for overnight stays in Girona for a maximum of 72 hours. It has 70 pitches, a sand surface, and services for emptying and filling grey/black water and drinking water. There are no power points or shade. It is 2-3 km from the festival, which you can access on foot, by bike via the bike lane, or by urban bus with Line 5.

It is important to remember that it is forbidden to park the motorhome in any parking lot in Girona city.
By train
High speed (AVE / ANTE):
From Barcelona: 38 min.
From Madrid: 3 h. 30 min.
From France (Perpignan, Narbonne, etc.): 30 – 60 min, depending on the stop.
Regional trains (R11, MD):
From Barcelona: 1 h 15 min – 1 h 30 min.
Girona train and bus station is in the city center, only 2 km from the festival (25 min walk or 10 min by bus/taxi).
By city bus: lines such as L3 or L4 leave you near the Fontajau Pavilion.
By taxi: about 10 min journey.
By plane
Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO)
It is the closest, about 15 km from Girona city (about 20 minutes by car or bus).
You can get to the center of Girona:
Direct bus from the airport to Girona: leaves every 30-60 min depending on the time and flight. Arrives at Girona bus/train station (very central).
Taxi: 20 min to the center or directly to Fontajau.
Then, from the center, you can walk (25 min) or take a city bus/taxi to the festival.
Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN)
If you do not want to fly to Girona, you can land in Barcelona-El Prat and go to Girona by train or bus.
From the airport:
Cercanías R2 Norte train to Barcelona Sants (about 20–25 min).
Then, AVE or Avant to Girona: about 38 min.
Total: approximately 1 h 30 min to Girona center.
There are also direct buses from Sagalés from Barcelona airport to Girona (1 h 45 min approx).

WHERE TO PARK
Designated free parking areas
Parking is not allowed inside the fairgrounds. The festival provides free, unsupervised parking so you can arrive and park without wasting time:
Shuttle bus stops
You can park your vehicle and use the shuttle bus as an added festival service.
It will run on a circular route, with 30-minute intervals between both points.
