The E-Bike World Cup returns to the cycling festival featuring the best bikers in the field!

One of the areas of cycling that is experiencing sustained growth are e-bikes. For this reason, it was a given that the international festival would include the discipline’s quintessential event, the e-bike MTB World Cup.

Sea Otter Europe, Europe’s bike show, which will be held on 23, 24 and 25 September 2022, and its base in Girona-Costa Brava remain fully aware of the importance of e-bikes, which is why they are once again hosting this prestigious elite-level competition as part of their sporting calendar.

The WES World E-Bike Series was launched in Monaco in 2019 to promote the first international all-electric bicycle competition.

In 2020, the championship took a big step forward by receiving the title of the first UCI E-Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup. For the first time, points from e-races were awarded to count towards qualifying for the UCI World Championship and fighting for the coveted rainbow jersey.

The championship brings together the best cyclists in the world, with incredible circuits so that both bikers and spectators can have a blast during the competition. A circuit with potential for unstoppable growth and visibility, thanks to its great development on social networks and media coverage, and its good reputation among cycling fans.

For 2022 the WES calendar features seven sporting events, most of them organised in Europe, one of them as part of the Sea Otter Europe festival.
