The festival’s preventive measures aim to ensure a Covid-free event and that the festival programme takes place successfully

A number of preventive measures will be implemented at the festival to ensure that the weekend unfolds in the safest possible way with maximum guarantees for visitors and cycling enthusiasts. These policies are sensitive to modification, and may be more restrictive or lax over time. The festival will do everything possible to adapt them as quickly as possible, in order to adjust them to the most current situation in the evolution of the health reality.

The festival will keep its sports programme intact, its expo zone and the demobike activity with the latest bikes on the market. The festival will also boast a food and refreshments area.

In short, Sea Otter Europe is ready to welcome all attendees to each and every one of its activities scheduled for September 2020.

Below are the festival’s general preventive measures:

LIMITS ON CAPACITY AND SOCIAL DISTANCING

Capacity checks on access to the festival through the main entrance

Free entry to the festival

1.- Entry will be completely free but numbers will be limited. To reserve a ticket visitors must register on the Sea Otter Europe website or tickets can be obtained at all official distribution points of Sea Otter Europe (specialised cycling shops, among others).

Visitors will also have their temperature checked at the entrance.

Limits on capacity in the festival’s closed spaces

2.- In the more closed areas of the festival (accreditation area, inside the pavilion, VIP area) there will also be specific capacity checks to create a turnover of visitors and to avoid crowding, as well as social distancing markers for queues and customer service areas in order to comply with regulatory social distancing.

Spaced out layout in the expo zone

3.- In open spaces within the perimeter (expo zone A, B, C and D) a change in the layout of exhibitors is planned in order to ensure a two-metre distance between stands.

Use of protective equipment for everyone present at the festival

1.- Masks must be worn by everyone present at the festival, including staff, exhibitors and visiting public.

SPACE HYGIENE

Cleaning personnel specialised in the disinfection of common areas

1.- Cleaning personnel will regularly clean and disinfect all common areas.
2.- Hand sanitiser dispensers will be available at all entrances to the pavilion where a high number of visitors and/or staff is expected.
3.- Portaloos adapted to the new health regulations, in regard to PPE and disinfection, will be available.

INFORMATION

A well-informed customer service team to answer any questions

1.- The Sea Otter Europe organisers will ensure that information regarding the measures is clear and concise, both prior to the festival (via the website, newsletter and social media) and during the festival (by installing information panels, making announcements via a PA system, and staff who will provide visitors with information on an ongoing basis). The team will also be responsible for ensuring that the preventive measures are followed.
