Barcelona, 25 July 2023. In keeping with seeking alliances with partners and institutions related to sustainable mobility and the cycling and sports industry in general, Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental and the Euro Mobility Festival, set to be held from 22 to 24 September in Girona, have reached an agreement with the RACC. In this regard, RACC HolaBICI will form part of the group of strategic partners of Girona’s international cycling festival.

RACC HolaBICI comes into being to promote bicycle mobility

As part of its process of transformation into a Mobility Services Club, the RACC has created the cycling community known as RACC HolaBICI to encourage the use of bicycles in cities, promoting more streamlined and healthy urban mobility. This initiative encompasses services and products aimed specifically at cyclists, such as the network of bicycle repair points, a subscription service for electric bicycles, Bicipedia (a virtual encyclopaedia of bicycles with more than 1,000 models), assistance and insurance services and the Cyclist Barometer, an annual study on the behaviour and opinions of cyclists in Barcelona that’s been conducted since 2018. This community currently has more than 25,000 followers and customers.

Talk scheduled at Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental. Urban bike users: What they like, what they value and what they demand

Within the framework of the initiatives agreed on for the cooperation that’s been established, Ricard Casalins, Head of Mobility Projects at the RACC, will deliver a talk titled Urban bike users: What they like, what they value and what they demand. This talk will form part of the RACC’s knowledge area, thanks to the annual Bicycle Barometer and other research carried out by the organisation, and it can be followed live as part of the series of talks scheduled during Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental.

They’ll also organise a special outing with their fans and followers on Saturday afternoon, the so-called meet&greet, departing from RACC HolaBICI’s stand on the site of the Euro Mobility Festival.

RACC HolaBICI will have a commercial stand providing information on the community and the different assistance products available to all the visitors to the festival.
