The international cycling festival Shimano Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Garmin, held in Girona on September 19, 20 and 21, and the sports industry cluster, INDESCAT, have renewed their strategic collaboration agreement to seek synergies to promote the sports sector.
The agreement includes a series of advantages for the cluster’s associates and their participation in the international cycling festival in Girona.
The sports industry cluster will have its own space at the festival, which will be made available to the cluster’s members for activities such as exhibitions, presentations and networking activities with all of the more than 500 brands present at Shimano Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Garmin and the Euro Mobility Festival.
INDESCAT is a private entity led by companies. As a cluster, its mission is to unite organizations and entities linked to the world of sports, with the aim of developing actions that improve their competitiveness and that of their entire environment.
Currently, INDESCAT brings together more than 150 companies and entities, with a global turnover of more than 2,400 million euros, which offer services and products to the entire sports and physical activity market. In addition, INDESCAT also promotes and energizes the Barcelona Sports Hub, a public-private initiative of the Barcelona City Council, with the leadership of the Institut Barcelona Esports (IBE). The Barcelona Sports Hub provides the city with a technology and innovation space applied to the world of sports; to generate synergies between entities, investors, companies and entrepreneurship, and to activate and accelerate the sport tech ecosystem in the city.
The main objective of INDESCAT is to help its members identify and address new business opportunities that may come from innovation, internationalization, training or financing, through working groups, conferences or collaboration agreements with different institutions.
Shimano Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Garmin, as one of the international benchmarks in the cycling sector, seeks to create links and agreements with the main entities in the sector, such as INDESCAT, with the aim of expanding and, in turn, collaborating in the development of the sports sector.
Shimano Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Garmin will be presented in its ninth edition on September 19, 20 and 21, 2025. Last year, nearly 68,000 visitors, as well as more than 500 international brands from the sector, were present at the event.
