The international cycling festival, which last year brought together more than 70,000 visitors, will take place on September 18, 19 and 20 at the Fontajau Pavilion in Girona.
The city of Girona is getting ready to host the great cycling festival once again, the tenth edition of the Shimano Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava-Girona by Garmin. The festival grounds will grow by 10% in area compared to last year and are already nearing full booking of available spaces. The tenth edition will be the largest in history, positioning the event as an international benchmark in the cycling world and establishing Girona as a cycling capital. Visitors can now download their ticket here; admission is free, but mandatory to access the venue.
The festival is divided into four zones which, connected to each other, become the epicenter of activities during the three days of the event.

Red Zone: The festival’s main entrance
This is where the main entrance is located and is the first point of contact for most visitors to the fair. It provides access to some of the busiest aisles and offers a unique opportunity to explore the festival. Attendees will be able to discover the latest innovations from brands that have been present since the first edition, as well as from sponsors of the sports events and the festival itself.
Furthermore, this zone provides access to SOE Connect – exclusive expert talks for professionals – to the SOE Business Club – one of the informal meeting spaces for professionals – to the press room, and to the accreditation center.
Additionally, it also features one of the Demobike departure points, a food truck area, and direct access to the start of the Continental Gravel Ride Tour cycling event.
Green Zone: The space combining exhibition with sports events
This is the largest zone with the widest variety of activities for all audiences. It is a grassy area where some of the largest stands of top international brands and tourist destination stands are located.
The Green Zone is also the setting for some of the starts and finishes of the sports events; among them, the arrival of the 226ERS UCI Gravel World Series and the HERO UCI World Cup Marathon stand out, as well as the start and finish of the last race of the Shimano Super Cup Massi season.
There will be three prominent areas in this zone. On one hand, the auditorium for open conferences to the public, which will address different topics and feature various speakers; on the other, next to the auditorium, is the other space for informal meetings between professionals, called the Pro Business Area; and finally, the main stage, where most of the award ceremonies, athlete presentations, and live coverage of the 226ERS UCI Gravel World Series will take place.
In addition, the youngest audience will find their space here: pumptrack or pump track circuit, face painting, badge workshop, and a children’s cycling activity.
Finally, the zone offers the most significant gastronomic selection on the premises, with several food trucks and a dining area, in addition to Demobike departures.
Yellow Zone: The heart of the festival
Strategically located, halfway between the Red and Green zones. Visitors will find brands offering all kinds of products, as well as several food trucks at the end of some of the aisles.
Here you will also find the bike wash, managed by Pro Ride, and access to the interior of the Pavilion, which houses the race office for collecting race numbers for sports events and showers for participants.
Pink Zone: All kinds of brands and the Euro Mobility Festival area
The Pink Zone will also be another area to find all kinds of brands: equipment, nutrition, distributors… as well as the Euro Mobility Festival. You can also enjoy some sports events such as the spectacular Spanish Eliminator Championship or the Girona Trial Cup.
Attendees can also relax in the food truck area, enjoy live music, and children’s activities.
